“OUR GOD IS NOT COMPLICATED”

Our God of all Comfort!

 

Scripture Reading:‭‭‭ ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭1:3-3-4; “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

 

The word “Comfort” means to stand beside a person, encouraging and helping him or her in a time of trouble. God supremely fulfills this role, for He sends to His children the Holy Spirit to comfort them. John 14:15-16; “If you love me, keep my commands. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever—” Jesus Christ will ask the God the Father to give the Counselor only to those who are serious about their love for Him, and their devotion to His Word. Jesus Christ uses the present tense in verse 15 of the preceding Scripture (“if you love me”), thus emphasizing a continuing attitude of love and obedience as a prerequisite to enjoying the benefits of the Comforter and Counselor, and that is, the Holy Spirit! 

Our Comforter, the Holy Spirit will be by the side of His obedient children, to teach the true course for their lives; John 14:26; “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” To comfort in difficult situations; “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you” (John‬ ‭14:18‬). To intercede in prayer for them; “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans” (Romans‬ ‭8:26‬). To be a friend and to further their best interest; “the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you” (John‬ ‭14:17‬), and to remain with them forever. 

 

The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, is “the Spirit of truth”, because He is the Spirit of our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, who is the Truth! Hence, He testified to the truth (John 18:37), enlightens concerning the truth, exposes untruth, and guides the believer into all truth. Those who are willing to sacrifice truth for the sake of unity, love or any other reason deny the Spirit of truth, whom they claim lives in them. The church or individual believers or followers of Jesus Christ that abandon the truth, abandon their LORD. The Holy Spirit, the Comforter, Spirit of Truth, will not be the Counselor of those who are indifferent to the faith or halfhearted in their commitment to the truth. He comes only to those who worship the LORD in spirit and in truth: “God is spirit [the Source of life, yet invisible to mankind], and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth”(John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭AMP‬‬). Please pray to receive and be filled with the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, and source of joy, and power to resist all demonic oppositions to your peace  and destiny.!

◦Holy Spirit, my Comforter, my Wonderful Counselor, locate my heart and manifest in my life today and not tomorrow, in the name of Jesus Christ. 

◦ My heart, soul, spirit, body, and dwelling place, become the habitation of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. 

◦Fire  of the Holy Ghost, and the name of my LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, that is above all names uproot and burn into ashes anything in my life attracting mistakes and errors, in name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!
